MONDAY, 3 March 2025 - Copper has appointed Tammy Weinrib as its new Chief Compliance Officer and BSA Officer for the Americas.
Ms. Weinrib will lead a renewed licensing drive for Copper in the US market and will join Copper’s US Executive Team, based in New York.
The appointment forms part of Copper’s renewed focus on the US market and traditional finance sector, set out by Amar Kuchinad upon his appointment as Copper’s Global CEO in October 2024.

With over 20 years’ experience of working at global financial institutions and leading digital asset firms, Ms. Weinrib will support Copper’s renewed growth strategy to scale up its risk mitigation and collateral management services, underpinning asset tokenisation within traditional finance.
Having launched her career as an Investigator at Citigroup, Ms. Weinrib worked at global financial institutions including The Royal Bank of Scotland, Brown Brothers Harriman, and Standard Chartered Bank, assessing and strengthening their compliance and risk frameworks.
After 10 years in TradFi, Ms. Weinrib was appointed digital asset exchange Gemini’s Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, establishing a Compliance Program encompassing both legacy financial institution and digital currency regulatory requirements. Following her time at Gemini, Ms. Weinrib was appointed a Vice President for Financial Crime Compliance at Société Générale, advising the business on regulatory requirements and industry best practice while developing compliance and risk-mitigating control frameworks. Most recently, Ms. Weinrib was Chief Compliance Officer & BSA Officer at Binance.US, where she led the firm’s BSA/AML Compliance Program.
Copper’s regulated presence currently extends across Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. This appointment marks a key step in Copper’s efforts to accelerate regulatory expansion in the US market as part of an ambitious global growth strategy.
