Keeping you informed on the latest company innovations and developments
June was another strong month for Copper as we continued to expand our institutional offering, strengthen our global presence, and grow activity across the Copper Network. From continued momentum on ClearLoop to new asset support, strategic partnerships, and participation in key industry events, here's a look at what happened across Copper during June.
ClearLoop by the numbers
ClearLoop continued to provide institutions with secure, capital-efficient access to digital asset markets while reducing counterparty and settlement risk throughout June.
During the month, the network processed 62 million trades, facilitated $95.3 billion in notional trading volume, and completed $3 billion in gross settlements. These figures reflect continued institutional adoption of ClearLoop's off-exchange settlement infrastructure, enabling clients to trade more efficiently while maintaining the security of segregated custody.
New Tokens Support
During June, Copper continued to broaden asset coverage across the Copper Network, giving clients access to a wider range of digital assets for custody, settlement, and trading. Newly supported assets include Humanity (HNEW) on Ethereum and YLDS.
These additions further expand the assets available across custody, Trading Vaults, Trading Accounts, and Walled Garden connectivity where supported, providing institutions with greater flexibility across the Copper ecosystem.
Media Notes
Opening Bell 63
The latest version of Opening Bell (https://copper.co/en/insights/research/opening-bell-issue-63) suggests that Ethereum's rising adoption and ETH's falling price are not contradictory, but the natural outcome of a roadmap designed to make blockspace abundant and inexpensive. While transaction fees have dopped down significantly and on-chain settlement has grown since the Dencun upgrade, lower fee revenue has left ETH inflationary and weakened the link between network usage and token value.
The report also questions how much economic value Ethereum's security budget truly protects, given that many tokenised assets remain subject to off-chain controls, and notes that while staking has supported ETH by reducing circulating supply, that tailwind may be fading.
