Through the partnership, Copper will offer integrated token claiming during Glacier Drop and institutional-grade custody for NIGHT.

FRIDAY, 22 AUGUST 2025 - Copper has partnered with the Midnight Foundation to support the distribution and custody of NIGHT, the native utility token of the Midnight network, a fourth-generation blockchain leveraging zero-knowledge cryptography to introduce programmable privacy to web3.

The Glacier Drop is the first phase of Midnight’s multi-phase token distribution and represents the first opportunity for institutions and qualified participants to obtain NIGHT ahead of the expected mainnet launch in late 2025. NIGHT is Midnight’s native token, supporting governance, block rewards, and network participation. 24 billion NIGHT tokens have been allocated across holders of eight major blockchains including: Cardano, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple Avalanche, Brave and Binance.

Through this partnership, Copper will enable institutional clients to:

  • Claim NIGHT allocations from the Glacier Drop;
  • Custody NIGHT through Copper’s secure MPC custody platform;
  • Engage with Midnight’s privacy-enabled infrastructure in a way that aligns with institutional compliance requirements.

Copper Network is the institutional gateway to the digital asset ecosystem, offering clients integrated connectivity to hundreds of leading market participants through a single platform. ClearLoop is a unique part of Copper Network, providing access to the largest network of centralised exchanges where clients can mitigate counterparty risk with trading and settlement whilst simultaneously enhancing capital efficiency. All transactions from trading and settlement to staking, borrowing, and lending can take place seamlessly from our secure MPC custody. Midnight will leverage this robust infrastructure to deliver real-world utility for privacy in Web3.

“Institutional adoption of blockchain depends on privacy that doesn’t compromise compliance,” said Fahmi Syed, President of the Midnight Foundation. “Our partnership with Copper allows NIGHT’s distribution to be backed by the same standards of custody, compliance and security that institutions expect in traditional finance.”
