The most highly anticipated token distribution of 2019 is finally here.
Last week, early private investors were informed the public/private key generator for the Telegram Open Network (TON) is now active. They were instructed to send their public address to Telegram prior to distribution.
Copper, having worked closely on the TON Testnet, can now reveal that it is the first institutional custodian to offer a TON key generator. Clients can use their Copper Unlimited offline application to create keys and store Grams from the security of their Copper cold wallet.
Approximately $600m USD of Gram tokens will be secured using the Copper safeguarding infrastructure once the TON main net goes live.
Stay tuned for more information.
UPDATE (21 Oct 2019): Following recent news that the SEC has filed in New York to delay the launch of TON (and therefore the issuance of Grams), Copper will continue to monitor developments closely. The integration has already been completed technologically, so the team will be ready to go, whenever TON is.
