A mammoth month for regulators, with no fewer than 141 updates to keep you busy. 35 alone came out of the United States (but still no ETFs!).

If there had to be a theme to tie all of January's regulator updates together, it would be that there is a general movement towards permissive environments. While few have come outright and endorsed the asset class, most now recognise it's down to them to provide a comprehensive framework within which they can operate.
