Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Support the implementation of a risk based privacy programme
• Perform privacy risk assessments, identify privacy risks and develop related controls

• Collaborate with cross functional partners to define programme and technical requirements, set priorities, and establish a privacy compliance roadmap.
• Track and manage updates, milestones and roadblocks on privacy work.
• Partner with program owners and SMEs to understand privacy requirements

• Maintain Record of Data Processing Activities, including annual review and ad hoc updates
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments on new vendors/suppliers, product offerings, internal processes and other elements of the business as needed
• Be delegate to Data Protection Officer in handling operational elements of Subject Access Requests, including monitoring mailboxes where such requests may be received
• Monitor access governance to systems holding personal data
• Be point of contact for the GRC team with regard to SOC2 privacy controls suite
• Review contracts to ensure that compliant data sharing agreements are in place with all relevant third parties
• Maintain policies and procedures relating to data privacy
• Liaise with Regulatory Compliance team to incorporate updates to regulation/legislation as and when they develop and impact the business
• Collaborate with Risk to ensure that all data protection risks are identified, mitigated and managed throughout the business

Your experience, skills and knowledge

• Experience in privacy and developing/managing privacy program required
• 5-7 years’ experience in financial services handling data privacy operations
• Bachelor’s degree/equivalent
• A successful candidate will possess strong organisational, coordination skills and interpersonal skills for facilitating cross-functional communications
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR privacy requirements. Knowledge of security frameworks preferred
• Intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint skill
