A wet weekend in the UK was only dampened further by news that Coinbase has suffered a glitch where some customer’s passwords were stored in plaintext on a server log. This comes amid news that the popular retail exchange lost its UK banking partner (and therefore access to the Faster Payment Scheme).
But they weren’t the only exchange to suffer from bugs this week. Binance Jersey announced they are providing a bounty to a white hat hacker that managed to take over their twitter account. The hacker cooperated with their security team and evidently didn’t have ulterior motives.
In good news this week, the crypto-friendly bank Silvergate has announced it will shortly be providing crypto-collateralised loans. And speaking of lending, the Lendingblock platform has been awarded a DLT licence by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
