Copper unveils its first TV commercial
Copper, the multi-award-winning provider of institutional digital asset custody and trading solutions, today announced the launch of its inaugural TV advertising campaign exclusively on Bloomberg Television, starring actress Rebecca Ferguson. The 30 second spot, which can be viewed here, introduces Copper’s new campaign: ‘The Unfair Advantage’. The campaign explains how Copper’s technology gives its clients the best tools on the market to trade and store digital assets. Specifically, the commercial focuses on the benefits of ClearLoop™, a pioneering way to trade and settle assets off-exchange.
Filmed four months ago in Iceland and London, the commercial features Swedish-born Ferguson exploring an otherworldly landscape. Ferguson is currently starring in Denis Villeneuve’s highly-acclaimed sci-fi epic Dune. Ferguson stars as Lady Jessica, alongside a stellar cast which includes Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Jason Momoa. Ferguson’s previous roles include agent Ilsa Faust opposite Tom Cruise in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Riza Stavros in Men in Black: International, and Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman.
Commenting on the campaign, Tyler Kenyon, Chief Marketing Officer, Copper said: “We are honoured that Rebecca starred in our new campaign and first television commercial, it was a pleasure working with her. ‘The Unfair Advantage’ message is meant to be somewhat abrasive because we are competing for attention in the loudest and most highly competitive industry that has ever existed: crypto. Ultimately, we want everyone to benefit from what we’ve built, at which point it won’t be an unfair advantage, it will just be the new gold standard.”
Copper, which is headquartered in London and was founded in 2018, has raised $84.3mn of funding to date, most recently via a $75mn Series B, which included a $25mn extension led by Alan Howard. The company acts as a custodian and trading solutions provider for more than 400 institutional clients (including banks, fund managers, and family offices) that buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
The commercial was directed by Diarmid Harrison-Murray out of Untold Studios. The collaboration between Copper and Rebecca Ferguson was managed by Talent Republic. Rebecca Ferguson is represented by Charles Collier of Tavistock Wood and ICM Partners.
