The annual report was launched in this morning’s edition of the Times, and features commentary and analysis of the current blockchain and crypto ecosystem.

CEO Dmitry Tokarev provided an overview of how blockchain technology, and specifically investments in cryptocurrencies, are effecting institutional investors.

Custody, crucially and perhaps expectedly, featured highly in Copper’s analysis. Tokarev draws parallels to traditional financial custodians, but highlights some important differences, namely that mitigating the risk of loss is a much more technologically intensive process.

Tokarev also describes how institutions can create a framework that enables investment managers to trade across multiple exchanges while maintaining the highest levels of security. A process we have called the Copper Walled Garden.
